1	Gist of the schemes	One month multimedia training is given at National Institute of Film Development Corporation, Regional centre at Chennai.
2	Eligibility Criteria	The orthopaedicaly differently abled persons and hearing impaired persons who have passed 8th standard.
3	Whether form of application is prescripbed	Yes. Applications are available with concerned District Differently Abled Welfare Officer.
4	Certificates to be furnished	National identity card for differently abled and 8th pass Certificate.

Fitter Training To Hearing Impaired Persons

1	Gist of the schemes	Fitter training is given to the hearing impaired candidates at the ITI, Guindy for 2 years. A stipend of Rs. 300/- pm is given to the trainees.
2	Eligibility Criteria	1. Hearing impaired Person. 2. Minimum Educational Qualification: 10th Passed.
3	Whether form of application is prescripbed	Yes, available with District Differently Abled Welfare Officer.
4	Certificates to be furnished	Copy of : 1. National identity card. 2. Certificate for educational qualification.

Unemployment Allowance To The Differently Abled Persons

1	Gist of the schemes	The unemployment allowance to differently abled persons is given as follows: a) SSLC and below Rs.600/- per month b) Higher secondary course Rs.750/- per month c) Degree and above Rs.1000/- per month
2	Eligibility Criteria	Should be in the live register of the employment exchange for more than a year.
3	Whether form of application is prescripbed	Yes. Available with the employment exchange
4	Certificates to be furnished	Employment registration card and National identity card for differently abled.

Micro Enterprises And Bunk Stalls

1	Gist of the schemes	Self Employment loan subsidy to the differently abled persons : Loan is recommended to the unemployed differently abled persons who are willing to start their self employment ventures. The Government subsidy will be released to the differently abled persons to whom provisional loan was sanctioned at the maximum of Rs.25,000/- or 1/3 of the sanctioned loan amount, whichever is less.
2	Eligibility Criteria	Any differently abled persons in the age group of 18 and above.
3	Whether form of application is prescripbed	Yes. Applications are available with concerned District Differently abled Welfare Officer.
4	Certificates to be furnished	a) National identity card for differently abled and Family card. b) Quotation for materials / bunk cost.

1	Gist of the schemes	Motorised sewing machines are provided to hearing impaired and locomotor disabled persons, mild intellectually disabled persons and Mother of severely intellectually disabled persons at free of cost.
2	Eligibility Criteria	Should be hearing impaired or locomotor disability or intellectually disabled persons above the age of 18 years or Mother of severely intellectually disabled.
